I don't think it's a mean...kind of biased. It's good, isn't it? Friends are important to friends.

But I think I'm really afraid of that bias, and how it can get myself, or someone else hurt. Just because it isn't inherently mean won't stop it from causing trouble, y'know? My old friends were so important to me, but refusing to see the truth for what it was lead to a lot of pain later on.

[And it's part of why they're 'old' friends, rather than current.]
