gunslingerqueen: (The Yoke and I)

cool, I'll be there on tuesday.

[That's more than enough time to finish things on her end, to adjust for the possibility of either having someone in her space yet again, or being gone for a meaningful amount of time. This sort of thing isn't unusual, the Lunaes aren't exactly small names in the supernatural community but Nariko in particular, in the Americas and Middle Eastern regions, certainly runs into situations that require help, so why not make a job out of it?

As such, there's nothing particularly odd about meeting a stranger in public. To the normal eye there is nothing exceptionally different about Nariko aside from her appearance, perhaps, and whatever personal opinion one might draw about it. Her slacks are neat and pressed, the silky button up is asking for trouble in a state with murderous humidity, but Nariko is perfectly fine - suffering for the aesthetic is just part of the job, too. She's assured that her date for the afternoon will be able to identify her among the various couples, families, and the occasional old lady or two taking up outdoor seating. It's a short range but stepping within five feet of her little table would blot out sound, voices were muffled to the senses, the instinctual sense of existing around other people would be null and void despite how easily visible they were.

It was a dramatic effect, sure, but Nariko found that it kept the whole, "Oh, are you the particular clandestine person I was looking for?" conversations to a minimum. Plus, the Very Berry crepe is phenomenal and it has all of her focus until Les arrives.]
